Story by:Stacy Drosatou

Hernan Lander-s collection conveys effortless elegance to ordinarily casual silhouettes. The earth tones of Africa mixed with the industrialization of the continent serve as a source of inspiration for this season. Hernan is primarily using luxurious jersey materials mostly in grey hues that fall beautifully on the female body incorporating the principles of haute couture. Intricate draping is paying homage to Madame Gres and represents Hernan-s way to interpret the textures of Africa.

Hand-beaded tops, hand-worked jackets, feminine, beautiful skirts and dresses, perfectly tailored pants and red-carpet-worthy gowns, all with embellishments finely crafted to compliment the fabrics and designs, are always a part of the Hernan Lander collection. Zippers play also a big part adding a more structured, industrial touch. Shoes have a very rustic silhouette with oversized wooden platforms and constructed zippers. His ready-to-wear pieces herald the same feminine aesthetic as his couture gowns luring his clientele into the world of beauty, desirability, exclusivity and superb craftsmanship.

“I wanted to counterbalance luxe and simple materials with supper industrial ones to create great silhouettes that are young and polished” says Hernan about his highly coveted collection
