At Mercedes Benz Fashion Week SS 2015, key makeup artist Dana Arcidy of Metro Look and her team were sponsored by Mirabella to create a fun, summery look for CuteCircuit. CuteCircuit, created by Francesca Rosella and Ryan Genz, is a line of interactive, wearable technology worn by celebrities such as Rihanna, Katy Perry and Nicole Scherzinger. This season, the makeup look was fun, beachy, and surprisingly wearable. Arcidy and Rosella were inspired by a girl on vacation in Ibiza in creating the look. Arcidy says, “We wanted the look of a girl who spent all day at the beach and had to rush to get to a party that night.”

The skin had a natural finish, much like a girl who decided to skip foundation after getting a glowing tan. A combination of Mirabella’s Skin Tint Crème, which Arcidy says provides coverage while still looking “skin-y” and Mirabella’s Baked Sand bronzer helped mimic an Ibiza tan—without the sun damage.Keeping with the beach theme, a blue-green eyeshade called Haute was applied wet to increase its saturation in a thick wing over a bare eye. “There were so many gorgeous shades of blue in the collection this season, and Mirabella had shadows to match every one of them,” says Arcidy. She adds, “I love how girls aren’t shying away from color anymore. There is always something so fresh and fun about shocking pop of color on the eye on an otherwise natural face. Expect to see a lot of that this spring and Arcidy recommends light blue greens like Haute for skin that is tan or deep, and slightly darker shadows like Aquamarine or Azure for fairer skin. “Blue can be wearable!” she insists. “Just pick the right shade and consider trying a graphic shape to avoid an unwanted 80’s vibe.”

The look was finished off with barely-there lips, so as not to detract from the vibrant eyes. The Metro Look team used Mirabella’s Glossy Ginger with Lustre lip gloss on top. “This girl would rather spend an extra half hour at the beach than fuss over her makeup,” Arcidy laughs, referring back to the inspiration. “She has time to do her eyes, and that’s it. Everything else has to be natural. It’s much cooler and more modern that way”
