These two style mavericks are well known for leading the pack in modernizing style. They broke traditional rules of dressing that paved the way for new ideas and lifestyles.  FIT museum has the largest and most comprehensive archive of Halston and many of the Yves St. Laurent pieces were donated by some of fashion’s biggest influencers including Lauren Bacall, Marina Schiano and Tina Chow to name a few.

The exhibition is a comprehensive review of a total of approximately 80 ensembles and 20 accessories all arranged to evoke the dynamic themes of change significant in fashion at that time.
