On Wednesday, November 28 we attended the uber chic Courgette Restaurant & Bistro for a intimate pre-fight dinner hosted by light middleweight undefeated professional boxer Austin Trout.

The dinner, acted as a prelude to the highly anticipated and widely discussed Trout versus Cotto Madison Square Garden housed fight on December 1st.

Courgette, the Mediterranean, French, Italian and Greek fused 5 star restaurant and bistro, is the newest restaurant under the Ginza Project restaurant group, and with an impressive aromatic menu which features an array of seafood choices and premium meats paired with an exceptional wine catalog it is clear why Trout chose such a lavish venue for such a lavish evening.

In regards to his upcoming Madison Square Garden fight Trout was quoted as saying:

“This is the fight of my life! I have dreamt about an opportunity like this since I was 10 years old. This path God has lead me down has groomed me for an event like this. I am going in there with the attitude to win! Losing is not an option for me, so with that in mind I am going into this fight with everything to gain.”

Assisting the legendary fighter in the making with shouldering the evenings hosting responsibilities is highly regarded sports and entertainment brokerage firm  The Circle LLC alongside  nightlife and entertainment conglomerate  A-List Entertainment. Both parties acted  as industry liaisons to the fighter as he navigated his way through an evening of exquisite taste, remarkable candor and a room filled with a handful of New York City’s most prominent members across a myriad of industries, including but not limited to press and media, nightlife, sports, entertainment, automotive and government.

Gary Little, The Circle LLC Chief Marketing Officer, was quoted as saying:

“Austin Trout is a tremendous fighter with a good heart. While working on this project I have become very inspired and humbled by him. He deserves this win more than anyone. At The Circle LLC we are very optimistic about his fight, as well as what is going to transpire following his victory.”

With an impressive boxing history of 25 wins, 14 wins by way of a knockout, 0 losses and 0 draws it is clear to see why this champion is the talk of the town, and great dinner conversation is what dining in New York City is all about.

Update: Austin “No Doubt” Trout scored the biggest win of his boxing career on Saturday night by defeating Miguel Cotto. Trout remains undefeated, moving to 26-0 in his career after dispatching the future Hall of Famer. Cotto’s record declines to 37-4, and this now makes him a loser in two consecutive fights. Video recap below!
