Your debut EP “Unveiled” was recently released. Is there a story behind the title? What was it like working on the EP?
Unveiled” is a name I chose because it’s an acoustic EP, and it really gives my fans and listeners a chance to hear my raw voice with bare bone instrumentation. The EP was a compilation of songs that I co-wrote with various songwriters/producers from different musical genres so it  was so fun and challenging to create acoustic version that sound like they “fit” together. And it was such an honor to work with such amazing writers!

For our readers who have never heard your music, describe your sound in 5 words:
Fresh Pop R&B with Soulunnamed

What artists were you inspired by when you were starting out in music? How do you feel they’ve influenced your style?
Elvis was my first inspiration just because he was the definition of cool and a great performer! He did things his way – very original. Also need to include Marvin Gaye, Al Greene, Stevie Wonder and Boys2Men – their harmonies and runs are ridiculous! More recent influences include JT, Bruno Mars and Chris Brown!

What was the first musical experience that really touched you?

The first time I heard “Jailhouse Rock” by Elvis, I was in shock! I was in 3rd grade practicing times tables with my mom, and I stopped and just kept replaying it over and over! I still remember that moment because it helped shape who I am today!

We loved your recent cover of the Weeknd’s “Earned it.” Why did you decide to cover this song?

Thank you! It’s such a vibey song with a lot of room to do things in. I took it and made it a little slower and soulful. It’s one of my favorite songs I do. I appreciated the very positive feedback form my fans too!!

You recently announced on Facebook that you will be touring this Spring. Can you tell us a little bit about what fans can expect?
I just finished the tour and it was a BLAST! I will tour some in the summer too so I cant wait to perform and see my fans:)

What do you enjoy most about touring?
EVERYTHING! It’s literally my favorite thing in the world to do! There are far few things that make me as happy as when I tour! Most First an most important to me is seeing my fans react. I also really like the camaraderie of being out on the road – meeting other bands, hanging with my band mates and exploring new cities.

Any upcoming projects we should be on the look out for?
New music will be happening VERY soon! Just keep your eyes open because the plans are big 🙂
